Renovations
“On the South East side of the island a sea wall will be built into the lagoon to block the sea current(caused from the extended harbour of the neighbor island Maamigili) and to avoid erosion on Holiday Island.
The area in the resort that is potentially affected by the noise is not used by the hotel guests as there are no public facilities (only hotel staff buildings, all maintenance facilities of the resort). Guest bungalows close to this area will not be occupied.
A dredger for sand pumping and excavators for moving sand, sinking sheet piling are in use but no other machines. There will be no machines moving construction material around public areas.xxIn the close vicinity of the above area a medium quality of noise may be expected, there is no smell and no dust.
The view from other parts of the beach area is blocked by a high fence made of palm leaves and only if guests walk around the mentioned restricted site, they will hear a little noise or view material and equipment being used.xxThere are no workers moving around the public areas.
This work is due to be completed on or before 01st June, 2013.” 

Our Opinion
A good island on which to base your holiday in the Maldives with opportunities to visit neighbouring destinations
Atmosphere: Laid back and casual with peaceful days and lively, social nights.
Rooms: All rooms are individual bungalows (apart from the interconnecting family rooms) and come equipped with the usual amenities. They are all clean and bright.
Dining: Italian trained chefs ensure that the buffet is of high quality and extensive with live cooking stations.
Activities: If looking for a bit of a change of atmosphere, it is possible to take a ferry over to Sun Island which is bigger and busier. Diving in this atoll is known for being particularly good - lots of excellent nearby dive sites.

Full Day Excursion
Provides you with a chance to see three different islands - a resort, an inhabited island and an uninhabited island. In this guided tour, you will have a chance to swim, snorkel and suntan on a nearby virgin island followed by a delicious BBQ. In the fishing village, you may also enjoy some shopping and see some historical places. You will also visit a local hotel of different style to be  explored.

Morning Fishing
Takes you to the open waters for an exploration of the local fish. The boat captain takes you to different locations where you can enjoy a good catch. The fishing industry has not utilised mechanised vessels until recently. Rowing and sailing boats have been used for centuries for fishing, ensuring that the daily catch was very much limited. However, nowadays the majority of fishermen around and a handful of others come in from a far distance for fishing in this area. This small amount of boat traffic is thankfully insufficient to spoil the good diversity of marine life. You will be provided with a BBQ of your catch at the Coffee Shop Terrace.

Night Fishing
Catch a fish before you loose the Sun! The boat captain will take you to a location where he has experienced good fishing. Night fishing is the easiest way of experiencing how to catch fish. Barracudas, Red and White Snappers, Small Tooth Grouper, Blue Fin Jack and Bulls Eyes are among the most popular catches. Your boat crew will provide you the fishing gear and offer angling advice and assistance on board. Enjoy the BBQ of your own catch! Even if you did not catch any fish, still the BBQ will be provided at 2200hrs on the Sundeck, if the weather permits. Otherwise inside the Coffee Shop.

Gymnasium
This is the perfect place to keep fit with a magnificent array of equipment for exercises and work outs, including Sauna and Steam Bath which will help your tense muscles after a long day, and it is free of charge.

Snorkelling
The hotel provides snorkeling trips on a chargeable basis to different locations within the area. However, you may rent the equipment from the diving centre and snorkel around the island at any time as you wish.

All shops are located near the lobby to meet your needs. In the Souvenir shop, a large variety of Souvenir items, post cards and stamps are available. A vast collection of Jewellery items can be found from the Jewellery shop to give your loved ones a beautiful gift.

Through the photo shop, your films can be developed and printed so that your memorable moments can be seen in photographs.

Main Restaurant
Features Western and Oriental Cuisine, buffet style, during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served between 0730-0930hrs, lunch between 1230-1400hrs and dinner is served between 1930-2100hrs. You are advised to wear casual dress when attending the restaurant.

Coffee Shop
Serves varieties of a la' Carte meals and drinks round the clock. Also provides room service 24 hours a day. In addition, there are Lobster parties, seafood dinners and BBQs of fresh sea fish arranged at your request. Various types of Ice Creams, Cappuccinos and Espressos are available.

Main Bar
Open around the clock. During happy hour  (1830hrs-1930hrs) there is a 25% discount off all cocktails with free snacks.

Karaoke Bar
Opens at 2130hrs if there is no special event in the main bar.

Beach Bar
Is located near by the Water Sports Centre in a beautiful spot so that you may enjoy the natural beauty of the island while you are enjoying your drinks. Otherwise you may enjoy a cocktail while the sun sets. The Beach Bar is open between 0930hrs to 1230hrs and 1400hrs to 1800hrs every day.
