Sandies Bathala
Bathala is an island in the Maldives, located in the north Ari Atoll eastern side, close to the outer atoll barrier.
The island, home to the Sandies Bathala resort, is situated in a privileged position, its waters boast a remarkable richness and variety of fish species.
The resort, part of the Planhotel group and third resort of the Sandies Resorts brand, a 4-star hotel, with all the comforts and a simple style, perfect for families, friends and couples as well as diving enthusiasts, who can find the famous Werner Lau Diving Center.
The resort is only 15 minutes by seaplane from Malé International Airport.

A great place to relax and unwind after exploring the magnificent under-water marine life, or for those who want to stay on the beach, sunbathing on the white coral sand, in the shadow of swaying palm trees. Serves all inclusive drinks, house wine, local beer, water and juices. Serves snacks with American coffee and tea from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 18:00.
Selected cocktails and spirits are served after 18:00 with premium and international drinks offered at extra charge.

Water Bungalow
Water villas built on stilts over the lagoon and on two separate piers host private terrace. Rooms are equipped with climate control, handmade wooden parquet doors, tasteful furnishings including custom made furniture, king size bed and sofa bed. Werner Lau Diving Center – SSI Center
Discovering the underwater world
The Diving Centre’s qualified instructors are at your disposal to help you fully enjoy the beauty of the underwater world. The instructors will accompany you on your boat excursions to discover the coral reef.
The Diving center runs courses from Open Water to professional under SSI, CMAS and PADI guidelines.
The center offers Nitrox diving and underwater scooters. The best dive sites of the Maldives, amongst which are Fishhead, Mayaa Tila, Maaga Tila und Manta Point, can be found in close vicinity of the island.
