It offers a host of delicious teas, freshly-brewed coffees, sandwiches and sweet-tooth delights – ice creams, freshly baked pastries and cakes, you name it. Picnic baskets are prepared on request for those of you who want to go out and explore.

Sometimes the quintessential, carefree island lifestyle calls for a simple, light lunch or a sneaky sweet treat instead of a full, lavish sit-down meal. That’s why Kanuhura has an exceptional Deli that serves up everything from healthy drinks, delicious light lunches, freshly-baked treats and ice cream to aromatic teas, coffees and artisanal picnic baskets for the ultimate languid lunch enjoyed in a special spot on the magical tropical island. This wonderful and unique resort offering has an array of fresh, daily delights and is open daily between 10:00 and 18:00. 

Drift Restaurant 

Jehunuhura's Island Grill Kitchen

Set on Kanuhura’s very own exclusive island, Drift offers the best in grilled delights. Perfection really is enjoying a meal in this secluded, tropical gem.

Savour a day of barefoot frivolity on Jehunuhura as you make the most of the signature cocktails and delicious grilled fare at Drift. Make the most of a day spent in paradise; enjoy a lazy lunch at Drift, unwind on the sunbeds under the palm trees and immerse yourself in the topaz-blue water as you enjoy the serenity of this magical place where the cocktails are sublime and the food is spectacular. 

Drift is open for lunch between 12:00 and 15:00 and can be accessed by boat shuttle which runs from 07:00 to 17:00 and leaves from Kanuhura every 20 minutes.

Veli Restaurant

Veli creatively and contemporarily interprets traditional Asian-Fusion cuisine, with a unique, beach-front dining location – perfectly complemented by a small, more private set-up, modern décor, Yakiniku-style tables and an open kitchen. The restaurant also offers amazing tandoori cuisine from a traditional Indian oven.

The epitome of contemporary beachside dining, this remarkable restaurant is the ultimate place to indulge in the exotic flavours of the East. In the open kitchen, highly-skilled chefs create a plethora of exquisite dishes which include everything from expertly prepared sushi and Chinese specialities to Korean favourites, Singaporean dishes and tandoori cuisine which is prepared in a traditional Indian oven. The Iru lounge is all about conceptual experiences: picnic-perfect low tables, swings at the bar, lounge tents, gaming tables and beach rocking chairs are all there, for a perfect laid-back chic living. Experience the Maldivian sunset with the best lounge sounds and paired cocktails.

Characterised by a distinct gypset style, Iru is a chic beachside bar and the perfect place to spend a glorious afternoon in the Maldivian sun while sipping on any of the extraordinary cocktails offered at the bar. A tropical haven unlike any other, at Iru, free-spirited, curious explorers have their pick of interesting places to relax; from bohemian beaded swing chairs at the bar, to low picnic-like tables and beach teepees, Iru provides the ultimate place to sit back and relax, cocktail in hand while soaking up the gorgeous sunset hues.

The resort’s Spa has its own lavish pavilion, complete with a health and beauty centre, with separate amenities for ladies and gents.

SPA MENU

The kids club offers imaginative fun for kids ( 02 – 11 years ). Parents or a baby sitter should accompany all children under 4 years old. Baby sitting services by professionally trained nannies are available for a fee.

Kanuhura has a large fresh water swimming pool, beach volley, two floodlit tennis courts, an air-conditioned squash court, table tennis, games room, library and a lifestyle boutique.  

A tennis/squash instructor is available as a playing partner or for coaching sessions.

Guests can also enjoy darts, table soccer and billiards in the games room, or just relax with a good read in the library.

Water Sports Centre

The Water Sports Centre is a member of the internationally recognised Association of Windsurfing Schools in Germany, or VDWS (Verband Deutscher Windsurf und Wassersport Schulen e.v).

With the very best in qualified instructors and water sports equipment, guests are assured of a safe and fun time on the various excursions and lessons that are offered. Speedboat rentals, canoes, four-seater banana, water-skis, fun tubes, kneeboards and catamarans are also available.

Sun Dive Centre

Lhaviyani Atoll is known for its stunning underwater fauna and marine life, offering some of the best dive sites in the world. Over 40 dive sites, including two shipwrecks and a manta point are accessible within minutes from the resort. The PADI 5 Gold Palm certified dive centre offers newcomers a first-class introduction to diving and unique excursions for experienced divers. Nitrox diving is also available without extra cost

The outer reef at Kanuhura drops down to more than 1200 metres below sea level, offering an immensely rich diversity of marine life. In just 10 to 60 minutes from Kanuhura guests can reach over 40 dive sites, among them two shipwrecks and a manta point. Kanuhura's outer atoll location and undisturbed dive sites lie far from other resorts and shipping routes, making it possible to enjoy some of the best diving and snorkeling anywhere in the Maldives.
