Kuredu Island Resort
In the northern Lhaviyani Atoll, Kuredu is the second largest island resort in Maldives.

Our Opinion
A large and busy island with a huge choice of activities and dining (beware that Garden and Beach Bungalow occupants must pay a supplement to use other buffet restauramts).
Atmosphere: The staff are genuinely friendly but not overly so. A lively and friendly atmosphere - most guests are happy in the presence of the like-minded people at the resort
Rooms: The lowest of the room categories are quite basic and simple but perfectly fine for those not seeking luxury. There are many other room categories situated all around the island.
Dining: The chefs are very accommodating and there is a wide variety of options.
Activities: Boasting the largest watersports centre and dive centre in the Maldives, there really is something for everyone. The snorkelling here is okay for beginners and first time Maldives' visitors. There is even a golf club.

The chefs on this island have heard that the sure way to a man’s heart is through his stomach - therefore, they present three main restaurants, three a-la-carte’ restaurants, two coffee bars, five bars and room service.
Bonthi Restaurant is located within the signature building of Kuredu in the centre of the island and is the main restaurant for the guests in Beach Bungalows for all their meals. Bonthi serves international and local cuisine on rotating theme nights chosen from around the world.
Koamas Restaurant is also situated in the renovated signature building of Kuredu, serving international & local buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all guests in villas on the southern coast of the island comprising of some Beach Villas, and Jacuzzi Beach Villas.
Sangu Restaurant is the allocated restaurant for guests in the Sunset Water Villas.
‘O’ Restaurant with its deck spreading over the water on the eastern end of the island has an ambience of being at one with nature. This is the allocated restaurant for the new Beach Villas on the north eastern part of the island.
The Sangu, ‘O’ & Koamas serve wide buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
Guests in the Sunset Water Villas, Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Beach Villas can also eat in main restaurants other than their allocated restaurant if they choose to with a prior table reservation.

The Beach serves your choice of BBQ steaks, lobster and seafood for dinner.
The Far East with a Thai chef offers treats from all of Asia, open for dinner only. Don’t miss the fabulous Lobster Curry.
Francos offers all day Italian dining and snack restaurant open between 10.00 am to 11.00 p.m. serving late breakfast, pizzas, pastas, hamburgers and sandwiches.
The Tea House is the local choice, serving Maldivian snacks, short-eats and curries, hot but very tasty. No alcoholic beverages are served in this outlet.
Special event dinners can also be arranged on the beach. They can be modified to your every need and wish depending on the size of your party.

The newest addition to the sports facilities is the 6-hole pitch & putt Golf Course and the full length Driving Range. The Golf Course also features a Pro Shop where you can rent or purchase golf clubs as well as other golf equipment and a Bar.
There is a fully equipped air-conditioned Gym with a multi-station work out machine, tread mills, exercise bicycles, dumbbells and bell bars.
A flood lit Tennis Court with international standards
Volleyball on the beach is organised daily.
Football, Badminton, Table Tennis and Darts are other popular sport activities.
Golf
Believe it or not golf has finally arrived in the Maldives!!
Kuredu Golf Club is the first of its kind in the Maldives. The Golf course is located on the eastern portion of the Island, surrounded by natural forest and the noise of the ocean. There could be no where more peaceful for the game of golf.
The Golf Club boasts a full size driving range with the option of a shaded area and also hitting from the grass. A large putting green is also available to perfect the short game.
The golf course is a 6-hole Par 3 course with the average length of a hole being 55 yards.
With some great characteristics on the golf course it proves to be a fun and ”sometimes” a challenging experience. The Kuredu Golf Club is a perfect setting not only to begin golf but a basic understanding of the game is necessary.
The Golf Club also provides a bar where you can simply relax with a cool drink or catch up on the latest news from around the world.
The Head Pro, PGA qualified golf professional is available for tuition on all aspects of the game.

The daily boat-trips, to more than 40 different dive sites, take between 10 and 60 minutes one way.
There are never two boats at the same dive site at the same time and the dive team tries to have a maximum of 10 - 14 divers on each boat.
There is a large variety of dive sites to choose from. Kuredu ProDivers offers calm diving and diving in currents, channel crossings, caves and wall diving. This is the only island in the Maldives, with a dive site with 2 wonderful wrecks. A third wreck is conveniently located on the house reef.
Diving in the Lhaviyani Atoll is considered by many as the best diving in the world with Kuredu Express as one of the best dive sites in the world.
Maldives Diving Education
Kuredu ProDivers is a 5-star Instructor Development Centre and all diving education is conducted within the PADI standards.
Open Water Diver, Advanced OWD, Nitrox and other speciality courses start every week.

Courses are conducted in Swedish, English, German, African, Italian, Spanish & French.
Maldives Snorkelling Centre
A special service to all guests in the resort, four snorkel guides take guests to the reefs close by, not only from land but also by boat. On the program you will find introduction snorkelling, land tours, night snorkelling and half & full day boat trips.
As the largest Watersports centre in the Maldives, there is a wide range of activities to suit every interest and level of experience. Whether you have never tried it before, or you are an old pro at the sport, go along and have some fun and thrills!

This is a great way to spend your time together, why not stay on the Pedalo and catch some rays while your other half snorkels alongside?

The Entertainment Centre is one of the new facilities designed to offer a variety of activities in one location within a spacious semi open Maldivian House.
The Entertainment Centre features a TV Hall with satellite channels and DVD player, a library with books in a number of languages, table top chess, giant floor chess with approximately two feet tall figures, table tennis, “fussball” (table football), darts and two pool tables within an air conditioned room.
Beach Volleyball is an everyday favourite of guests of all ages. Once a week, the beach volleyball tournament between guests is a festival.
Football on an island is possible if you are in Kuredu. A multipurpose ground is the venue for various games like football and cricket, and competitions are conducted during the week.
Floodlit Tennis on a hard court is open almost all the day long between 08h00 and 20h00.
Racquets and balls can be rented on the island.
Floodlit Badminton is also open between 08h00 and 20h00 with the possibility of renting the racquets and shuttle cocks. Playing on the sand based court is an all new experience and is fun with no shoes!
Board Games for those who prefer more of a mental challenge are available between 09h00 and 01h00 at some of the bars.
The Gym is newly refurbished and fully air conditioned with soothing music.
